Ahh time alone, how I cherish thee. The family ran off to Reno for the night and have given me the gift of peace, something only a man can truly appreciate. No bickering females in this household today.
I grew up in a family of women, then after I got married ended up once again living in a family of women, since I have no sons. So the joy of not listening to womens angst is the best gift.
So, I did the manly thing and drank some beer with popcorn and watched boxing. Floyd Mayweather Jr. at 140 lbs. I'm not a big fan of his, but his speed is impressive and he does have some knockout power.
After that I fell on the sword of my weakness of education and the pursuit of knowledge. Colonial House on PBS. It is produced by the same people who made Frontier House, which if you haven't seen you are a very deprived individual.
Colonial House is basically a several month adventure for modern day individuals to go back in time to do a sorta real Role Playing game of colonization in 1628. It's real harsh and amazing to see what those people went through. This is no pansy ass reality show, these people go plant cornfields, build shit, milk goats and fetch water. Real manual labor no reality clown looking for fame and fortune would subject themselves to.
Catch it some time if you get the chance it's a real eye opener as to how far we have come in America.

In the other show from 2002 called Frontier House, 3 families spent 7 months re-living the 1883 Montana territory experience including building log cabins, planting crops, milking cows and braving a blizzard. Simply incredible show that really cannot be explained in words. Their webpage can be found at the Frontier House at PBS.org.
