After a long time of putting it off I finally took the plunge and installed some blog software from
Movable Type. I've managed to get it to work with
Red Cyclone which still is in control of the rest of my site.
I've put it off for so long because I really haven't been much of a journal writer, but have recently gotten into it a bit.
I've been playing with RSS recently and a couple aggregator apps. First I tried SharpReader and used that for a few days until I kep encountering some sort of memory leak in it that kept screwing up my system. I loked around and found another one called FeedReader that's been great over the last 3-4 days so far.
It's pretty cool, I have mine setup to receive all the latest news from Yahoo, Slashdot and a few friends blogs and the thing packages all of it in a nice little folder layout with each headline.
So, one of the factors in me making the move was cuz I think this RSS stuff is cool and my simple website updating before wasn't cutting the mustard.
If you haven't checked out RSS yet I highly recommend it. It's the fancy dancy new wave thing.
