Reuters Article has this ridiculous suggestion from Walther Troeger, a German International Olympic Committee member:
"I saw an athlete in the Olympic village wearing a T-shirt that said "Blitzkrieg - it's only a game," an angry Walther Troeger told an IOC meeting on Tuesday.
"They (athletes' commission) should do something about it. We should stop such a thing in the Olympic village," ...
Most people know that Blitzkrieg (lightning war) was a tactic used by Nazi Germany during World War II to surprise enemies with a quick attack. However, it is also a chess move wherein you checkmate your opponent in 4 moves or a slang term for defeating your opponent quickly (i.e. "I blitzkrieged his ass and made him look like a fool").
Next thing they'll be wanting to ban anything with the words "Achtung!" (warning or caution) on it because these words were on Nazi Military equipment in places.
