I have just been forwarded this email, with video clips of Nepalese been killed. This is absolutely absurd. Nepal is a poor country. That is one of the reason people leave their whole family and kids behind and go abroad to work so that they can feed their families. My question to USA and UK government is, you two countries always believe in so called PEACE, you even provide funds to Nepal which never reaches to poor Nepalese people coz Nepalese government is so fucking corrupt Nepalese government are shit hole. IT’S ALWAYS THAT POOR NEPALESE PEOPLE AT THE END HAVE TO SUFFER. My question to the USA and UK government is WHO IS GOING TO SUPPORT THE FAMILIES OF THE KILLED NEPALESE PEOPLE? I think whoever is in charge of this site, should look into this matter and surely USA AND UK should support these family back home personally, and NOT THROUGHT THE GOVERNMENT OF NEPAL, as the funds would never reach to those Nepalese family.

I am not sure why you feel the US or UK government should provide for the families. The Nepali workers that were killed were working for a Jordanian company.

I'm not certain if the Jordanian company insures its workers that are going into a potentially dangerous area, but they should. I know most companies here in the US that hire workers do.

I personally believe that the Nepali people working for these companies are responsible in making sure that their families will be taken care of by insurance (personal or through the company) before they take these positions into a dangerous area.

I understand they are poor and possibly uneducated to an extent, but I firmly believe in personal responsibility in making sure that your bases are covered before you commit to a job as dangerous as the ones they took.

I feel for the families that have lost these men, but I don't feel that it is the US or UK governments job to have insurance on every foreign national or foreign firm that voluntarily enters the area.

Hey Digger, Its so easy for people like you and me just to talk about insurance and deciding up on the contract before we start new job..whether to accept it or not. Do you really think some of these nepalese people they are educated like us, that they could even think about insurance, and other sort of stuff. Common, we are talking about poor country here, who are labourers, with no education at all. Am not saying u r not right. But thats only people like you and me can think..poor them they just work to feed their families nothing much. Am not here to blame anyone. The only reason I mentioned the funds as USA do send funds to Nepal, which never reaches to poor people.

I don't feel like it is the governments of the US or UK's to fulfill a payment that the company that hired them should be responsible for. The company did not provide proper protection for their workers. The US and UK are doing the best they can, but they cannot protect every person from every company that enters the country and ventures into dangerous territory.

It is surely not the workers fault, but I don't feel the blame is with our governments or any coalitions governments for the actions of a foreign Jordanian company.

I'm sure you at least see where I'm coming from, whether you agree with my outlook on it or not.

I totally agree with you "The money sent to Nepal never reaches the poor nepal", I see so many 5 star hotels in Nepal. If the Gov doesnot have money where do they get those money to build those hotels? Of course all those money belong to the poor people; which never reaches them. Nepal was poor, and it is still poor. Most nepalese wants to get outta Nepal, why because there is nothing to do in Nepal. Young Nepalese gets out of nepal and go abroad to earn money for their family. I wish we had jobs in Nepal , a job which doesnot need any recomendation from (rich) welknown poeple. A job for poor poeple.

u damn rite about all those five stars hotels and rest, even Paras shot his wife to death yesterday, that has been evacuated from public. All of a sudden there was a breaking news of Paras and his wife being together on TV (which apparently, that recording of them being together was taken long ago before the shooting), its so peculiar the way kingdom and the ministers tries to fool the Nepalese.
