This is absolutely ridiculous. The EU is
now asking for an explanation from Moscow on the tragedy in Baslan.

The EU refused Friday to rush to judgment on how Russian authorities acted in the bloody end to the hostage crisis in north Ossetia, but said it wants Moscow's explanation of the tragedy.
"It is premature now, without knowing the exact situation, to make a judgment on the way the Russian authorities acted," said Dutch Foreign Minister Bernard Bot, whose country currently holds the European Unionpresidency.
"We first have to evaluate the situation with the knowledge of all the details," he told reporters at the end of the first day of a two-day meeting of EU foreign ministers in the southern Netherlands.
An evaluation of how they acted? What the hell? There are terrorist bombers holding thousands hostage, the authorities obviously do their best with the knowledge they have to free innocents and they're supposed to explain themselves?
Why doesn't the EU ask for an explanation from the terrorist chechens and arabs that took the hostages and blew them up? Why is the russian government put on the hotseat over an incident they tried to resolve in the best manner they could?
Europe has really gone to hell in a handbasket when it comes to terrorism. I just simply can't understand them anymore.
