Now this is just ridiculous. I've tried to stay away from commenting on the candidates and parties, but this just takes the cake!
The Kerry campaign has just put out this PR Release [ backup copy here -ed ] entitled "The 2004 GOP Convention: Four Days Filled With Lies, Mischaracterizations, Distortions, And Half-Truths". In it they just go down a bunch of quotes from the RNC with no comments or rebuttals at all. Just a bunch of quotes.
Is this how they intend to convince people to vote for them? Via a list of quotes? Here are the first two as it appears on their site:
Bush is Good for Hispanics.
1. Fortuno: President Bush understands that that is why he believes in empowering Hispanics through improved education, better job opportunities, affordable health care and lower taxes.
2. Fortuno: And that's why President Bush believes in empowering the American citizens of Puerto Rico so that we can fulfill our aspirations regarding our political status.
That's it! Just a heading, two quotes and no comments or rebuttals or links to why this is not true. Nothing.
What the hell are they thinking?

Update:
Captain's Quarters has some great points on the fact that they call John McCain a liar on numerous occasions.
Let's take a look at each of these in order to find out why Kerry would call his supposed good friend John McCain -- a man who has defended Kerry and spoken only well of him on the campaign trail -- a dishonest liar.
Update 2:
Power Line is on the story, excerpt:
Talk about a gang that can't shoot straight. The last thing John Kerry should do is annoy McCain. If McCain turns on him, he's in real trouble.
Update 3:
Wizbang and
PoliBlog are reporting that the Kerry campaign has removed the
public press release and I have therefore put up a copy of the entire thing
here if official link above isn't working.
