With all the negative articles and stories on the war in Iraq, Afghanistan and military actions elsewhere it's always good to take a look at history as a measurement of how things are portrayed.
Jessica's Well does just that with a 1946 Life magazine and its take on Americas handling of post-war Europe. One quote in particular:
"We have swept away Hitlerism, but a great many Europeans feel that the cure has been worse than the disease."
