I've been avoiding the campaign as others are covering it sufficiently. Once in awhile a topic or issue comes up that I can't ignore and I comment on, this is one of those issues.
Captains Quarters is covering an article in The Australian that says the Kerry campaign has sent Diana Kerry, the younger sister of John Kerry to Australia.
Here's what Diana's mission for the Kerry Campaign was.
John Kerry's campaign has warned Australians that the Howard Government's support for the US in Iraq has made them a bigger target for international terrorists.
Diana Kerry, younger sister of the Democrat presidential candidate, told The Weekend Australian that the Bali bombing and the recent attack on the Australian embassy in Jakarta clearly showed the danger to Australians had increased.
"Australia has kept faith with the US and we are endangering the Australians now by this wanton disregard for international law and multilateral channels," she said, referring to the invasion of Iraq.
Asked if she believed the terrorist threat to Australians was now greater because of the support for Republican George W. Bush, Ms Kerry said: "The most recent attack was on the Australian embassy in Jakarta -- I would have to say that."
Captain Ed points out "The al-Qaeda Bali bombing that killed more than 200 people, mostly Australians, came in October 2002, well before the invasion of Iraq." Read more at
Captains Quarters.
Just One Minute has a little more information on Diana's affiliations.
Ms. Kerry is a campaign representative toiling with Americans Overseas for Kerry-Edwards. Hmm, we see from the website that she hates those Swift Boat liars, but her group loves Michael Moore. We will pause to wonder at the subjectivity of truth.
So is John Kerry willing to go so far as to destroy every alliance President Bush has put together just to win the presidency? Is Kerry watching too many episodes of
Big Brother and
Survivor?
Rob at Say Anything goes further:
Does anybody else find it just a wee bit distasteful that the Kerry/Edwards campaign is taking it upon themselves to scare other countries away from cooperating with our sitting President? I don't mean to be alarmist or anything, but isn't that getting pretty close to treason?
Rob is no Bush panhandler either, the comment above was made just after his recent post
Bush's Medicare Entitlements where he said the following:
This is why I wouldn't have voted for George W. Bush had the Democrats nominated someone other than a limp-wristed fop with no grasp of national security.

Funny, funny, funny... hardest working President we've had? I clearly remember Herbert Walker and Clinton never stepping foot once on Camp David during their first term... how many times has "W-yuh" been to David? Wait, two weeks ago he returned from a NINE day vacation their... NINE DAYS! you know how many Americans were killed in Iraq during those nine days? 13... And to talk about the alliances built up by the administration? Sorry, you guys must have your historical facts backwards, cause it seams to me that the administration has destroyed every credible ounce of alliances our American Interests had build up over fourty years during the cold war... (bush threw out 40 years of effort) and talk about partying? While Kerry was getting shot at, W was partying (oh wait, trying to work on a "political Campaign", right?) And I know what's going on behind the scenes (Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz) Need I say more...Let me guess, the next comment you're going to make is "Bush is the smartest Pres ever"... typical coming from a Neo-Con. And no, I've given Bush a chance for the past four years, he doesn't deserve another one... I've seen what Bush has done, and nobody can CLAIM what Kerry is going to do... sorry, gotta go with somethin' new...(unless Rove decides to throw this election)

John Kerry is trying to remove all alliances of the United States in Iraq. He did this in his "press conference" after the U.N. speech.
He does this while we have troops in harms way.
He did the same thing in Vietnam.
What National Security will we have with J.K. in office? He was guilty of treason in Vietnam and he is guity now.
