I watched the debate, I didn't do any live blogging or any of that over the top stuff though.
It went ok for both I thought. Kerry didn't look like a total asshead although I noticed his hands were shaking pretty nervously for the first 15 minutes. Bush seemed stumped at some points, not that he had to come up with a position, but to figure out how to say it, pausing to put his sentences together without letting out some tirade of bungled words that he would later regret.
A big point for Bush is was on North Korea and Kerry taking a bilateral talks stance (bi means two by the way) and Bush chastising him over it since it wouldn't include China as a pressure on Kim Jong Il as in multilateral talks. Kerry seemed to be stumped at that point and then saying in essence "well China can be part of the bilateral talks", wouldn't that make it trilateral talks? hehe.
I didn't see a big point for Kerry, though he didn't falter, I didn't see any standout moment where I said "oooh oooh oohh". There were a few times where I yelled "yeah right" at the screen a few times while he was talking. I can't remember when that was, but he was uttering some bullshit or another I knew he didn't believe.
For a compilation of other opinions go see Right On Red. He has some really good stuff there.
