I've avoided commenting on the fearmongering "everything Bush and America does is wrong" ranting of a lunatic, but I just have to comment on the latest entry from Oliver Willis. He claims that, although he was for the action in Afghanistan it has been a big defeat. He also seems to claim that the Afghan election today are a farce, like Florida, and that Laura Bush is wrong for standing up for Afghan women.
Those of you who don't know this lamer, he routinely speaks out against the US and its allies, yet claims to be a patriotic America. I don't think I've once seen him praise a thing that the US has ever done. His whole site is just a constant American bashfest. Why doesn't he just move out of the country if it's so horrible and corrupt?
I therefore declare him my
Asshat of the Week

Don't speak about what you don't know, and when you do -- try and use sentences that are gramatically correct.

In Digger's defense, I believe that's a typo, not a grammatical error. But hey...

It was obviously a typo, but you know the shallowness of today's liberal in nitpicking the opposition. Take it for what it's worth from Oliver-nothing.

Oliver -- Unfortunately, your post only buttresses his position. Your weak grasping grammar - or as was pointed out typo - critique is one indicator that he *does* know about which he speaks... BTW, check out what happened in Australia in a race the press called "close" right up to the point where it wasn't - the same thing is going to happen here. And you know what? It's not all Kerry's fault - its yours. That is you and those just like you. Do you for a second think that the constant top-of-the-lungs, wild-eyed, screeching about GWB from the distant left has gone unnoticed by Jane and Joe Average Voter out there? Your unrelenting cacaphony of hate and associated fecal spewings about GWB and America has not gone unnoticed by what used to be called 'the silent majority'. Your swill is poisoning the Democratic party's chances and what is so friggin funny is that you have no clue about it whatsoever. If it were some other country I'd laugh my ass off. As it is I'm doing everything legally and morally in my power to ensure that you and yours are relegated back to the pit from which you were spawned. Then, real caring, thinking Americans of all parties can get on with the business of adding to America's unrivaled legacy of positive contribution to all American citizens and to the world at large.

Well, I checked it out- Oliver, You really DID deserve the award from Digger.
Dean, I don't think I could POSSIBLY expound or improve on what you had to say. I am SO sick of the negativity of the Democrats. America's (note the correct grammatical usage there) "Light is flickering" huh??? Well, the only light that I hope flickers and goes out is that lying, pompous ass Kerry and his Breck girl sidekick. They are BOTH the epitome of what every bad lawyer joke was ever about. They both TALK a good game, but lack substance.
Bravo Digger, and thanks for bringing yet another idotic thing to our attention. You sure help liven things up !!
Hey Dean, if there's anything the REST of us can HELP you do "legally or morally" to send them back to their pits, please let count me in !

Since it seems like the popular thing to do, I'm going to pounce on Oliver as well.
"Don't speak about what you don't know, and when you do -- try and use sentences that are gramatically correct."
As a public relations executive fluent in AP style, I must point out that Oliver's response isn't gramatically correct either. I would imagine the double hyphens are not a typographical error, rather an error that only a person who believes the war in Afghanistan was wrong could make. You know, a fool.

By the way Digger, what can I do to get an award from you? I do read the Digger's Almanac daily yet there are not any tips available. Any advice?
