There were a lot of people who did entries on today being the Marine Corp's birthday (for example you can see some
here,
here,
here,
here,
here,
here), but I ask you why we never celebrate the Navy's birthday. I mean come on, we all know Jarheads are good at driving some jeeps, Humvees and generally kicking someone's ass just for some fun, but when you want to celebrate and party which of the branches are you gonna call?
At a Navy party you could sit around drinking 18 gallons of beer, 25 shots of Tequila and learning new tricks you can play with ping pong balls and some girl you just met. You can puke while you're spewing curse words out of your mouth faster than an M-16, eating a little of it while you laugh, and everyone would be chuckling along with you over it.
You could try and slide down a bannister at the "A" club in Yokosuka, Japan and fall over the side, landing a story and a half below and bruising your tailbone*. You can be chased down the street by some girl with a broken bottle in Pusan, Korea*. Then after you've just gotten started you can take your 3 or 4 girlfriends and head down the street looking like a badass gigolo with puke all over your shirt and stumbling every couple steps*. After you get back to your berthing (where squids go to collapse on the ship), you could forget where you are, pull down your pants and pee on the guy in the bottom rack*.
While I'll give Marines some props on their birthday and ass kicking, the real party is with the squids birthday...
Happy Birthday Jarheads!

Hey dumbass, the Navy does have a birthday and they do celebrate it. That was last month (Oct 13). The only reason why you don't hear about it as much is because Marines have more pride.
One last thing, "The Marines Birthday....boooorrrring!”??? Obviously it takes a marine to know the truth.
