Ok, this is one of the gross stories. The idiocy of the 22 year old is just astounding though.
The Chattanoogan
A 22-year-old Hixson man cut up his parents with a chainsaw after shooting them, police said.
Phillip Badowski has confessed to killing both his parents, Chattanooga Police said late Thursday.

Sources said Badowski first cut up his mother with a chainsaw and was in the process of cutting up his father when police arrived.
He allegedly was going to put the dismembered bodies in some sort of container.
The chain on the saw used by the son finally broke.

Sgt. Tom Layne said, "Phillip told the officers that there was not anyone else at home and that his parents had gone out of town for a funeral. The officers asked if they could look around because they could smell smoke coming from upstairs. Phillip told them that would be fine.
"When they went upstairs, they discovered two bodies, one male and one female (the smoke smell was coming from several candles burning). Phillip was then taken into custody and transported to Police Services Center for questioning."
Lets go over these things. You've just shot your parents and cut them up with a chainsaw upstairs. Police enter your house and ask if they can look around. You:
a) Say "Sure!"
b) Say "My girlfriend is naked upstairs, can you come back tomorrow?"
c) Say "I have a prior history and know my rights, so no."
d) Say "I don't trust cops and believe they always try and set me up, so no."
e) Say "Sure go ahead and take a look around. I'll be down here making a sandwich by the backdoor."

I just wanted to say that Right Thinking From the Left Coast is wrong about his parents getting him a chainsaw for Christmas. He killed his parents on December 1st, that is way before Christmas. Please remember that he has other family and you wouldnt want someone writing this kind of thing about your deceased parent's murder. I know you all will have some smart comment back but please pray for their family as well.

This is a very sad sad story. I actually worked for Chris Badowski and was a very close friend. Everyone who knew her was blessed to know a wonderful person. I am praying for her family.

I went to high school with this guy. Knew him, his brother and his sister. Never would have guessed this would happen.

What is the status of this case?
Where is Philip now (jail, prison, bail, mental hospital)?
When does it go to trial?
Where are his siblings (God bless them)?

I don't know much more on the status of the case but I grew up with this family and everyone would tell you that this is not normal. After Philip graduated his girlfriend broke up with him and left out of town for school. He got heavy in drugs and I do believe schizophrenia started making an appearance, being that this illness tends to show mostly in your early 20's.
He did go to a mental hospital and he liked it better than jail....but they found him to be sane. Typically I still think he's schizo. I don't know when te trial is or if it has happened yet....which I don't think it has. They predicted it to take a few years till it would go to trial.
The siblings are trying to live on their lifes the best they can. They still have plenty to do with Philip and struggle with the reasons why. They believe he has more to say but htat he is afraid and it does cause frustration....but they are okay and the meaning of family that they always expressed so well is still apparent.
I loved this family and everything about them and this whole thing has placed a huge marker in my life. They have sold the house to a couple in California. They were aware of the murder and they even gave them more than what was asked for the house for the heartaches the family has had to endure. It's just really scary when you think you know someone so well and you grow up with this family that you learn maybe you don't know that much after all. I'll tell you what....I'll never like annother crawdad the same way Chet and Christine would make them every year at thier crawfish broil parties.

i also never read anything about it being a christmas gft. but w.e i just thank the people at this website for letting us speak out minds about this horrible situation. once again.... my prayers out to this family♥♫♪♥

I know it's been along time ago since this has happened,but I was their a week before this happened.I worked for Terminix and I was doing their Pest Control for them.Every Time that I was their, Phillip always seem withdrawn.It was like he was in his own little world.I would try to talk to him,but he wouldn't really say anything.He would just sit their and stair into outer space.I kind of feel sorry for this kid in a way.I really think this kid needs a good mental doctor to look at him,instead of the one's they provide for you at court.The one's at court always say {you were sane at the time it happened}That's because if you don't have the {MONEY} for a good doctor to exam you,your screwed.That's when thay say {YOUR GOING TO JAIL,DO NOT PASS GO,AND PAY $200.00 DOLLARS}.Your court ordered Lawyers work for the State and they don't care about you or any body else.The reason saying this,as I no this for a fact.And for what he had done.It's not normal for anyone to do that.He has sign's of mental illness.I never meant his brother or sister and only meant his parents once in two years I did their Pest Control.My boss at the time did their Pest Control for 9 years and never meant the parents.I don't no if any of that had a roll in it,on why he did that.According to my boss,he told me his parents where always out of town and never home.How true this is,I don't no.I really feel sorry for him and for his brother & sister for the pain they had to go throw.I just hope they can move on in life and get throw this horrible incident that happened.GOD BLESS THEM ALL.

I went to high school with his family and rode the same bus and i always got the impression he was a bit narcissistic. He grew up in a privelaged home and instead of using the resources his parents provided him to suceed in life, he abused them and fell into drugs and partying which can take a toll on your mind and body. I think his parents had finally had enough and he just couldnt comprehend that they werent goung to support him anymore.
