I have been nominated this week in the Watchers Council for my fourth installment of "
Illegal Aliens and Immigration Reform Report". I'd like to thank them for the nomination and the consideration of my work on this issue.
I am facing some formidable entries this week. Here is my commentary on some of them.
Aiding and Abetting the Enemy from Blackfive. While this is a great entry it wasn't written by Blackfive.
Reasons Why We Can't Privatize Social Security from YoungPundit. Nice Concise piece.
Oliver Willis Just Can't Be Honest from Captain's Quarters. Not to be an ass about it, but finding Oliver Willis isn't being honest is not worthy of an award in my opinion. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
Welcome Neighbor! from Varifrank. This post is simply great and should win this week.
There's No Need To Get Worried About Black Blog Ops by John Hawkins at Right Wing News. Decent analysis.
Ask The Other Imam from Iowahawk. Hilarious! I chuckled more than once.
Advice to the FBI: Think Small from The Glittering Eye. Great piece on how companies rip off the goverment and get away with it. Ridiculous.
Ok, so that's my list of the entries I feel are good competition. Of ocurse I didn't list all of the entries, but if I didn't list them it's not because they suck, it's because I didn't think they were particularly noteworthy. I'm sure some would say that about my stuff as well.
I have been nominated twice in the past. The first time was for my entry "California Tries an Experimental "Catch and Release" Program" in December in which I placed 4th. The second was my entry "My Congressman, Robert Matsui, Dead At 63" which placed a dismal 10th place, but was up against stiff competition.
We'll see how this nomination plays out and whether I need to break out the steel baton, ala Tanya Harding, to settle some scores.
