The above post was not about the situation of illegal aliens, it was about calling an organization like NCLR racist because it has a different view from ours. Believe it or not Mr.Villon, I am against illegal immigration. I have blogged on how hard it is to not feel for these people who are uneducated and risk so much and work so hard to get here, but that hardly makes me wish for open borders. I want laws that make working here LEGAL. That is why I am for the guest worker program.

WEll, you're wrong on just about everything. One, I have held many jobs (and how you think you know I haven't is beyond me) Two, I am a lady. Three, I live about 3 hours from the mexican border so I think I know exactly what it is like to have illegal mexicans working everywhere around here.
Three, since we do live so close to Mexico I have, along with my Church, done many things to help the Mexican people in their country, including supporting a school there. I live 10 MINUTES from the Mexican border (California's Imperial County) and I can affirm that the invasion is REAL.

The border patrol down here is a broken force. They are demoralized because they are forced to play "Catch and Release Games" with the illegals.

Fact is Sparkle that Home Depot has allied themselves with a group called La Raza or "The Race". It is the Hispanic equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan and some even call it "The Tan Klan".

Their goal is a place called Aztlan or basically the recapture of Mexico the majority of the southwestern states. Their plan is to do this in any manner they can whether it be to flood the area with massive amounts of Mexicans or economically. Home Depot has ties to them now and put Tom Ridge on their board of directors.

As anyone covering immigration will know Tom Ridge was no friend of ours when it comes to border control. Just search for Tom Ridge in my search box on the left navbar. So pointing out the good that Home Depot has done is the equivalent of saying "but what about all the good things Hitler did?" I'm not comparing them to Hitler, but one good does not outweigh a massive amount of subverting our government and our laws in order to profit.

There is no doubt that the open border thing is a huge problem. Politically it is a powder keg. If you say anything about closing the border off or slowing down illiegal immigration in some way, the media makes it out like you hate Mexicans. That is a BIG problem for Republicans. The Hispanics vote helped us win this time. We just cannot let the democrats take that vote away from us the way they did the black vote. Almost half of hispanics voted for Bush, I could hardly believe it wasn't more after he is clearly on their side on most issues. Bush did what he had to do with the guest worker program to not lose politically and find a compromise solution.

Mr.Villon might be suprised to know that my solution would be to freeze immigration from Mexico for 2 yrs until we can get this illegal immigration under control. There is no way that would fly politically. But the money and resources from that could be directed toward the crossing over problem.

But we live in a political world of reality, and Bush is doing the best he can without pushing away the hispanic vote.

I'm not sure where the assumption that all people of hispanic origin really really love and favor illegal immigration and wouldn't vote for anyone who would shut down the illegals flood. [see Prop 200 in AZ] From my experience, some of the most vehimently opposed to the illegals are the recently immigrated Mexicans. Then know just what kind of people are the majority of illegals -- and they don't like that kind of rough customer in their neighborhoods any more than anyone else does.

I live about 600 miles north of the border and the invsion is just as real here as in Imperial Co.

I'm not sure if it is "racist" to believe that everything from OR to East TX "really" belongs to The Race, aka, La Raza. But that is the belief. The action is described as "taking it back -- house by house, street by street, job by job." Look around. It seems to be working.

I work in the los angeles area, got caught in the march 2006 protest which shut down the metrolink trains at union station. one of the local businesses shut down for the protest I was a regular customer at. Just this morning I met the business owner at another store, by chance. When asked why I had stopped patronizing her business, I explained my dislike of the protest and expressed my hope that enough mexicans who come here illegally would realize that an alternative would be to wrest the country of mexico from the real rulers, the church, the few very rich families, the drug cartels, and the federales.

I am tired of seeing the RAPE OF AMERICA by countless brazen illegals, why hasn't our government acted to protect it's legal residents from this massive raid of parasites???
