The House "REAL ID Act" sponsored by Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis. that
passed by a 261-161 vote in February, has now been attached to the $81.3 Billion war spending bill heading to the Senate. The war-spending bill was approved by voice vote on Thursday in the House. The Senate will tackle it after the Easter recess.
The bill requires states to verify illegal aliens aren't given drivers licenses, reduces asylum loopholes and allows the completion of the Otay-Mesa border fence near San Diego that is currently tied up by friends of illegal aliens and environmentalists.
