I watched this new show,
The Situation with Tucker Carlson, on MSNBC tonight and thought it was a refreshing change from
Hannity and Colmes. It's a quick paced show that flies through headlines covering a lot of ground and with some decent back and forth commentary, sort of like a blog. I think they had about 20 topics they covered.
Flipping back to Hannity and Colmes during the commercials revealed that I didn't miss much over there, they covered the Michael Jackson case, the missing girl in Aruba, as if anything new has developed, and not much else from what I could tell. Basically H&C had the same thing on that all the news stations had been blanketing all day.
Meanwhile, on The Situation, they covered the MJ case, but unlike the other news they were covering how the dispicable bookers at all the TV shows were just jumping all over the jurors as they left the courthouse. Their segment only lasted a minute or two and it was the same with the Aruba case. Then they were on to the Hello Kitty credit card targeted at pre-teens and whether getting our kids hooked on "free money" (my words not theirs) at an early age is a good thing. They covered violence in games and its impact on kids. After many more topics they wrapped it all up with a student who vomited on his Spanish teacher on the last day of school.
If you get a chance, even if you would like to punch the bow tie wearing guy in the nose, check it out sometime.
