Sandra Beth Geisel, 42, English teacher at Christian Brothers Academy, pleaded not guilty to three counts of third degree rape and a count of performing a criminal sexual act. She was not only accused by the 16-year-old, but by another student who came forward after the fact.
She initially was released on $20,000 bail, but was arrested on a DWI charge and bail was revoked. She sits in the Albany County Jail. She has until Nov 1, 2005 to submit motions. A plea deal is expected (of course).
Geisel was initially arrested August 1, 2005.

Sandra “Beth” Geisel, 42, of Latham, was indicated by an Albany County Grand Jury on Friday. She is accused of having sex with the student on three times---one at her Latham home, once at his Ravena home and once in the press box at the CBA campus.
The charges are all felonies and if convicted, Geisel could face 1 1/3 to four years in state prison on each count.

About a sexual encounter the victim allegedly had at Geisel's Latham home on May 15 he told police, “She took me into an office off her bedroom and laid a blanket on the floor. I lied down and she climbed on top of me and started rubbing and kissing me. We then took off our clothes and had sex.”
About the second encounter the victim told police happened on May 28 at the CBA football field press box, the victim told police, “There was a table in the press box. Mrs. Geisel bent over the table and we had vaginal sex.”

Society is tellng our youth that premarital sex is OK, especially for young men. Condoms are being handed out in schools. This "victim" was a consensual partner.
Beth Geisel obviously has some psychological issues; sex with a student, drunking driving ... These issues will not rehabilitated sitting in a jail cell. Jail time is not the answer.

She was definetly wrong and needs to be responsible for her actions.
Have you watched television lately?? Every other show includes premaritial sex, many times a minor. How about Desperate Housewives??? The teenage son getting it on with his friend's mom!
Our government allows this trash on our televisions and then this same government wants to prosecute people who are behaving in this fashion!?

This "victim" was a consensual partner....(Robin, if these were girls with a male teacher would you say the exact same thing? Would you say he has some psychological issues? Would you think has drunk driving and having sex with a student would sway you on a jury into not convicting him?

Your an intelligent gal Robin, and right on target.
I have to marvel at the women who speak as though they understand what it feels like to be male and have the powerful physical sexual impulses that come with it. Doesn't it just blow your mind when they speak as tho' they are blessed with a penis and want to dictate how we are supposed to feel about illict sexual contact with gorgeous women? Amazing.
Let me spell it out to you ladies.....in no uncertain terms....sex is never painful for us males as long as we are in puberty!!!....its crazy how women find that so hard to swallow....I suppose because they think we are burdened with their vulnerabilities. They just can't relate to our sexual power and drive and desire. And should keep their sewers shut when they don't know what the hell they are talking about.
Hey I don't have a vagina, and therefore have no buisness dictating whats's what in matters of female sexuality. All I know is that, unlike the predictable nature of men, female sexuality is totaly unpredictable and no one knows when it will strike or where or for what reason, Debra Lefave is a blaring example of that. But that doesn't mean I'm going to tell women how they should feel. Because I have no buisness.....make sense? Debbie Lefave, Beth Geisal jumped headlong into a forbidden pleasure, and got caught, its really just that simple. But in reality, they did no harm. And the idea that she traumatized a young man sexualy is truly a joke and absurd. Its tantamount to saying the zoo keeper damaged and traumatized the lion by feeding him meat that wasn't kosher. Trust me, the lion loved it, and savored it just the same. Young men are going to expereince opiate like pleasure from sexual contact with hot women under any circumstances. Just because that is hard for women to relate to doesn't change the reality. Just because society freaks out over it doesn't alter the reality either.
Some factors remain static and unchangeable no matter what the status quo would rather destroy. Your not going to destroy a young man's (or any man's) ability to enjoy sex. If they don't get it from these teachers they will get it from somwhere else. Good luck.
