A group of Colorado lawmakers is set to take a fact-finding mission to Arizona this week to discover the true costs of illegal immigration. I suppose they chose to pick a state that has been devastated by the costs imposed on them by
the federal government not doing their job along the border. At least they're thinking ahead.
Loveland Rep. Jim Welker, Colorado Springs Rep. David Schultheis and Arvada Rep. Bill Crane will meet with Arizona lawmakers and also ride along with the minutemen patrolling the border.
Bills denying illegal aliens services in Colorado have recently been shot down by the Democrats straight vote against it.

“The cost of illegal immigration to Coloradans is enormous,” said Rep. Jim Welker, a Loveland Republican who’s one of at least three GOP Colorado House members making the trip.
“We cannot stand by and watch the pocketbooks of Colorado taxpayers and law-abiding immigrants drain while they carry the increasing burden of supporting illegal aliens,” Welker said in a Wednesday statement.
“The pressure on our schools, our prisons, our health-care system and other taxpayer-funded services is too great,” Welker added. “It is unfair to our citizens, and it is unfair to the hard-working immigrants who are playing by the rules.”
