The House has approved HR 4830 The Border Tunnel Prevention Act of 2006 by a vote of 422-0.
This bill imposes 20 years for building a tunnel between the United states and another country. It also imposes a minimum of 10 years for those who allow their land to be used for tunnels. The minimum terms are doubled for those discovered using the tunnels for smuggling of drugs, goods, contraband, aliens or terrorists.

I was wondering if anyone would have a reason to vote against a bill like this. It would almost assuredly have been political suicide.
