Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has once again vetoed a bill in California brought forth by Senator Gil Cedillo to grant illegal aliens drivers licenses. This is the second time for Schwarzenegger. Democrats in the state have tried to pass this bill 8 times.
Former Governor Gray Davis actually signed one of these bills in a last ditch effort to appease Latino voters before he was voted out in a recall that pushed Arnold Schwarzenegger into office.

The bill's author, Sen. Gil Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, said his legislation complies with the federal law, although he acknowledged it goes beyond what federal law requires. His bill, SB1162, provides for security measures and a special mark showing that the license is held by an illegal immigrant.

"Until the REAL ID Act is implemented and the federal government adopts comprehensive immigration reform, it is inappropriate to move forward with state law in this area," Schwarzenegger said in his veto message.
A 1993 law bars the state from issuing licenses to drivers who cannot prove they are in the country legally.
This was lawmakers' eighth attempt at legalizing driver's licenses for illegal immigrants. Former Gov. Gray Davis signed one of Cedillo's bills in 2003, but it was repealed by lawmakers after voters recalled Davis and Schwarzenegger was elected to replace him.
Gray Davis was a loser, just like 8 time loser Gil Cedillo who plans to introduce the bill again next year. Voters need to kick this time waster out of office.
I think it's a great thing that Arnold has continued to veto is. Allowing illegal aliens to have a valid driver's license is absurd. Why? Because it just gives them more reason to come out here. Thank goodness I came across this. Arnold has made California even worse with all the trash he is doing to this state. First off, valid driver's license to illegals. How crooked are you!! Think about the absurd amount of traffic being worse here in the state. Secondly these people are illegal. There is a reason for them not to even be here. Did they get a green card NO. I would not have a problem if they went through the proper channels to get a green card. If so then they could get a driver's license. If not NO.. I mean NO way. Therefore they deserve no right to even have a driver's license. You are not making any of us safe here anymore because of your stupidity.

First of all. It's a good thing giving illegal people a license. How would you feel if you had to ride the metro each day. Also by granting licenses illegal individuals would be able to pay for crash damages if they get in an accident. Also when they pay for a insurance they are also providing the state with taxes, which helps rebuild California. Another thing Arnold is one of the worst Governor we ever had, he was trying to take the money that citizens save for their retirement and say he was going to use it for his purpose of re-building California. Think about it 11 other states have had their Governor do this and now find out how their citizens are going to get their money when they retire.
