Is there anything that cigarette smoke doesn't do? Now it is the cause of the end of the world according to Al Gore. That's right, Al Gore told the UN that cigarette smoking causes global warming.
Drudge
Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore warned hundreds of U.N. diplomats and staff on Thursday evening about the perils of climate change, claiming: Cigarette smoking is a "significant contributor to global warming!"
Gore, who was introduced by Secretary-General Kofi Annan, said the world faces a "full-scale climate emergency that threatens the future of civilization on earth."
Absolutely ridiculous! Next up for Gore, trans-fat causes excessive flatulence and the increased methane gas causes global warning therefore we must ban trans-fats. Oh wait, New York City is already looking at banning trans-fat.

Interesting view by Albert. Following his logic, hot coffee must also contribute to global warming. On a bright note, one thing the that is definitely NOT raising the planetary temperature is the non-existant metabolic rate in Al Gore's skull. What a douche.

i think we should not take Gore's statement as a joke. a statement coming from a Nobel Prize winner like him is something. we should not philosophize what he said; if cigarette smoke can contribute to global warming, it doesn't mean that any kind of smoke can also add to global warming! let's be logical about that. :-)
