It's rare to hear a Democrat actually place the blame on the real cause of problems rather than the "other party", but Senator Joseph Biden, a Delaware Democrat, came out and told the truth. Speaking in Columbia, South Carolina, Senator Biden had this to say about Mexico.
"Mexico is a country that is an erstwhile democracy where they have the greatest disparity of wealth," Biden said. "It is one of the wealthiest countries in the hemisphere and because of a corrupt system that exists in Mexico, there is the 1 percent of the population at the top, a very small middle class and the rest is abject poverty."
Unless the political dynamics change in Mexico and U.S. employers who hire illegal immigrants are punished, illegal immigration won't stop. "All the rest is window dressing," he said.
An even bigger problem are illegal drugs "coming up through corrupt Mexico," he said. "People are driving across that border with tons, tons — hear me — tons of everything from byproducts for methamphetamine, to cocaine, to heroine."
But does Senator Joseph Biden really mean what he says? Biden is looking at running for President in 2008 and is set to head up the Foreign Relations panel.
According to Immigration Stance, Senator Biden has a good standing on border control and interior enforcement, but then Senator Biden voted for amnesty, in-state tuition, social services and health care benefits for illegal aliens. Biden also voted to continue the visa lottery, chain migration and to increase temporary and foreign work visas.
This is exactly why Senators have such a hard time winning the presidency. You can sit there and pretend to be the friend of any group, but your voting record exposes you for the fraud that you are.
We applaud Senator Biden for telling the truth, that Mexico is directly responsible for increased drug trafficking and illegal immigration, but really Senator Biden do you think we'll be fooled into thinking you're an immigration warrior after voting in favor of an amnesty for illegal aliens and voting to allow illegal aliens to continue to steal from US taxpayers through our social services?
We're not that gullible.
in spite of being a Mexican, I'm all for telling the truth, too. Yes, our government is not only corrupt but also ilegitimate, and there are poverty, unequality and all that. But how about the US addicts and junkies? Are they just poor angels victimized by the brown demons? Maybe there is not a single corrupt police officer or politician in the US? And if the American farmers and employers go on hiring Mexican illegals, surely it is not because they can exploit the hell out of them, but because they just love the poor brownies? C'mon, mature and dare to take a look at you own miseries.
