The Wall Street Journal pushes this little blurb past us on its Washington Wire.
HISPANICS STRONGLY support Bush’s temporary-worker program for illegal immigrants. But 52% of whites and 59% of blacks express opposition.
Yep, it's not shouted from the mountaintops as it should be, it's slipped in there quietly. The Wall Street Journal in general is pro illegal alien. The majority of their columns try to play it off as a purely economic benefit ignoring the long term damage to the United States that it does. I'm sure the Wall Street Journal would have been pro slavery as well, since on a purely economic scale for employers, it would be seen as a benefit to them ignoring the damage it did.
The truth is that all low wage workers in general suffer from illegal immigration despite their race and definitely will suffer more if the President's amnesty is passed. Even more workers will flood the market taking jobs and driving wages down. There is simply no other way you can look at it logically.
A glut of workers in any industry = lower wages paid by employers
It's the simple common sense of supply and demand. Those in power of course are generally of the employer set and see this as a good thing since they won't have to pay as much. They could care less about the working American families and legal immigrants trying to give a better future to their children.
