I had not heard the story of Lupe Moreno being assaulted and beaten outside a Mexican Consulate. Lupe Moreno is from Latin Americans for Immigration Reform.
While protesting with 4 others against the Mexican Consulate in Santa Ana on December 18, 2007 giving identification documents to illegal aliens Lupe was assaulted by a man who approached her. She sprayed him with pepper spray but eventually the man got to her and started punching her repeatedly.
The man was jumped on and held down by others at the protest until police arrived. The Mexican Consulate however opened their doors and allowed the man and others at the scene to escape. The assaulter however dropped his business cards and his cell phone. His business cards had his picture on it. The police have contacted the man and told him to turn himself in, but he has yet to do so.
When asked why the man singled her out for the attack, she believes it is either because the man recognized her or because she was speaking out against them in Spanish.
Lupe has bruises and is in pain after the attack. She says she was very lucky that the man managed to miss her repeatedly or she believes that she could have been permanently maimed or killed in the attack. She says that if the man is brought in she will surely press charges. In this day and age I'm wondering if this man will even be brought in. It seems that law enforcement is doing a piss poor job of protecting Americans from these assaults while our leaders and groups like La Raza continue to push the line that those who stand against illegal immigration and want our laws enforced are the violent ones. To date there has not been one proven case of those opposed to illegal immigration being involved in any violence. However I believe that may soon change if these assaults continue.
This viciousness is simply appalling and it needs to stop now! Thanks to our inept leaders for allowing this travesty to continue to grow. They should all be ashamed of themselves for not taking action in advance and preventing our country from being flooded with tens of millions of people who care nothing about our country, its citizens and the rule of law here in the United States.

I hope they lock this guy up, not like all the other attacks that the cops seem to look the other way on.

This is appalling yet not surprising.
The man, using the term loosely as in the article, is the sort of lowlifes that the Revolutionaries in the government support. I was surprised, when I first attended rallies, that the strangers the government have been backing carried socialist signs.
It is not surprising that an arrest wasn't made on the spot, after all many of those that have sworn oaths of office seem to be in on this crime wave and are accessories before and after the fact.
We are going to have to restore law and order in our government before we can restore law and order in our streets.

I took note of your comment "To date there has not been one proven case of those opposed to illegal immigration being involved in any violence. However I believe that may soon change if these assaults continue."
So typical of SPLC and ACLU who condemn MM for "violence" yet the true story is never given. I realize that what I am about to say is a form of assault but it may be time to bypass the do nothing police and take matters into our own hands.
When anarchy prevails we must play by the anarchist's rules. Authorities PLEASE arrest me for "making threats." In this way I can explain myself at my VERY PUBLIC trial.

I am so proud of this precious women. It actually brought tears to my eyes to see someone of Mexican heritage who appreciates America and the Flag, and everything this great country stands for. It gives me great confort to see a Latino who finally gets it. We dont hate Latinos, we hate people who disrespect our country and everything it stands for, we hate not the people but their actions, we love those who love and respect America and everything it stands for. The ideals our forefathers bled and died for. God Bless you Lupe.

I applaud him for getting that phony, confused and most of all traitor. She is part of the problem. She believes to be better and above the undocumented immigrants, but first she should learn to speak english without an accent then try to be like the rest of us here in the U.S.

Racism is amazing. It ignites the inner hate of you racist nazi scum. But I don't blame you, your parents didn't raise you properly. Your parents are probably equal to or more of the piece of shit you are.
Can we say "Fuh-King Ray-Cist Green-Gos"?
Lupe Moreno suffers from an extremely dangerous mental disease. Who imposes on self-hate? But you nazis support her and keep her out of mental institutions. I don't represent any group or race, but I represent the American Dream. Fine, I support your right to say racist things and have your own opinions. God, didn't save her. Not even the almighty Lord could love her charcoal black soul.
