I have been hoping that
Lou Dobbs would take up the mantel in an otherwise sickening presidential campaign and run for president for The People of America. I have supported and pledged support for the
Lou Dobbs For President website. Therefore on Friday I was quite disappointed to hear that Lou Dobbs would be starting his new daily 3 hour radio show today. Not because he'd get more exposure doing hours of talk a day, but because with a new contract like that it pretty much ensures that he won't be canceling it anytime soon to make a run for president.
I listened to his first radio show today. He had on Ralph Nader, Mike Huckabee and others. Between the 15 minute breaks for advertising on the Internet stream there seemed to be only a few minutes of actual talk. I'm not a talk radio listener, but if this is what passes for talk radio then it is sorely lacking in content.
As far as actual researched content that Lou is famous for on his nightly TV program, the radio gig also seems to be hamstrung without the backing of his staff at CNN. It was a lot of off the cuff chit chat that I personally found less informative and not interesting.
Oh yes, I am being too hard on him for his first show, but I was really expecting more. Ralph Nader? Mike Huckabee? Please...
Anyway, you can find his radio show online at Lou Dobbs Radio it plays daily Monday-Friday from 3-6PM but the website has archives of the show I believe. I'm hoping that his show gets better, but it is still disheartening that a great American like Lou Dobbs will probably not be running for president with this new contract.
If a man intends to run for president he will not let a radio contract get in the way.
His biggest obstacle would be to get on the ballot. America's biggest third party, Libertarian, would be his best bet. Small government, anti-socialist, Lou would be a good fit and bring the party overdue recognition.
Having voted for Ron Paul, does anyone know if the Libertarian party has selected their candidate yet? Good luck receiving information from the cable news networks; I don't know if Paul is still running.
Since the government/news is in collusion and encouraging anarchy, I am about to the point of engaging the enemy on their own terms; anarchy.
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what to have for lunch.
