The illegal alien enabling group Casa De Maryland is claiming that they are receiving a lot of hate mail and that now it has turned into threats of violence including bombings of their building and assassinations of their board members.
Hmm, I can't say that I am surprised at any of this as there are some really pissed off people out there who feel - correctly - that they are being shafted by groups like Casa De Maryland and their lobbying efforts and constant support for continued illegal immigration. That doesn't make it right, that makes it understandable.
What I find funny though is that Casa De Maryland acts surprised that people are angry They should see some of the emails I've received over the years. You want to see real hate just oppose illegal immigration in a public manner and see the number of people threatening you and spreading lies and slander that you're a racist. Just look through some of the comments on the articles I've written the past.
Below are some of the comments left on Casa's phone line and through email. The FBI is investigating.
One thing I would like to point out though first is that nowhere in the article does it mention that Casa De Maryland supports illegal immigration, they simply refer to them as an "immigrant advocacy group". It also doesn't mention that those calls and emails were opposing Casa's illegal immigration actions. Oh, and the article also publishes some comments that are clearly simple free speech and not threatening at all. In addition the author is sure to include the term "hate crime" in the article - "At the moment, the threats are not considered hate crimes" - as any story having to do with those opposed to illegal immigration clearly has to be based in hate and racism, right?
Casa's board vice president Reverend Simon Bautista says that people who resort to violence are un-American. That's funny coming from a guy who encourages people to break US laws and wants to saddle all Americans with the costs of paying for illegal aliens and their children. What could be more un-American than that? I also wonder if Simon Bautista also thinks our US military is un-American, since they resort to violence on a daily basis.
WTOP
... CASA acknowledges it is the frequent recipient of harassing and threatening messages, officials say there has been a dramatic increase in the severity in recent months ...
"You should be scared and not surprised when all your places start to blow up in pieces."
"Don't be surprised when there's a {expletive} bullet in the back of your {expletive} brain for being so stupid and helping illegals."
"Don't be surprised if somebody blows your {expletive} facility up, you {expletive} piece of {expletive}."
I don't condone these messages, there are currently other ways to defeat these people other than through violence.
And now the free speech comments they received that were for some reason included in this article on threats:
On March 9, CASA's media specialist received the following email: "You people should be tried for treason." Another on April 2 said CASA "should be treated like any organized crime organization."
I agree 100% with those comments above on treason and organized crime. Casa De Maryland is selling out the United States to illegal foreigners, a clear act of treason. They are doing so under an organized operation to commit unlawful acts and therefore should be charged under the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) statue as the mob was.
And now the little sweet words from the author of the article on how nice Casa De Maryland is and how could anyone possibly dislike them.
CASA was created in 1985 to help Central Americans arriving to the D.C. area. It runs five Maryland day-labor centers where workers can gather while waiting to be picked up for jobs.
How nice.

This is a “dog bites man” story because it’s not out of the ordinary. In fact threats should be expected when one takes a stand that does not involve fierce hatred for immigrants and/or Hispanic people. People who don’t hate immigrants are the new Dixie Chicks.
Ask a journalist. Any journalist who writes an article that does not lash out irrationally at immigrants and/or Hispanic people will get more hate mail than for any other type of article. They often receive threats.
I think it was last month when a Colorado politician found it unacceptable that a colleague referred to immigrants as “peasants”. That politician received so much hate mail and offensive phone calls (with language that would make a sailor blush) that her contact information had to be taken off the website. Remember Pizza Patron the restaurant that temporarily accepted pesos? They received threats. Pizza sales also increased 20% so you take the good with the bad.
These people get ticked off easily too. On a certain debate forum a guy described how he saw Hispanic men bussing tables at an Outback Steakhouse. He wrote a scathing letter to the manager and vowed to never eat at Outback again because they hired illegal aliens. How he knew the men were illegal aliens I’ll never know. On the same forum another particiant expressed outrage that a commercial for alergy medication included a bumble bee with a Spanish accent. Hate is just engulfing them.
This is NOT an isolated incident. This fierce hate of immigrants and Hispanics is overwhelming these people. Thankfully it is only a very small portion of the population. In the end the calls to Casa de Maryland will probably be traced to the home of an elderly couple who has a 40 year old son living in the basement.

Ralph, this is not about immigrants. I have been married to an immigrant for 31 years. She started with a green card and earned her citizenship in eight years.
This is about illegal aliens! You seem dense and should refrain from commenting until you have an understanding of the difference between illegal aliens and immigrants.
As far as knowing who is an illegal alien, an immigrant takes an oath to learn English. My wife was hitting the books and learning English even before she left her old country. Illegal aliens take no oath to learn English and there are so many now here that too many consider learning our language an "option" because they are able to live in pockets of Spanish speakers. Those bussing tables at an Outback probably did not speak English.
One more thing; about illegals doing jobs that American citizens won't do, twenty years ago American teenagers or students would do those jobs. Today, they are shut out because employers prefer slave labor.

"Ralph, this is not about immigrants"
That's what they say. I wish it were true. I wish it were only about illegal immigrants. But it's not.
Casa de Maryland was in the headlines only a couple of weeks ago when it was granted funds to assist LEGAL immigrants to satisfy the requirements of citizenship. There was an uproar. People complained. They weren't complaining about just illegal aliens. Were they?
On many forums and some youtube videos one can see people complaining about others using the Spanish language. It's not just about illegal aliens.
As for you personally, perhaps your only objection is to illegal aliens. Perhaps you are perfectly fine with people speaking Spanish and flying the Mexican flag. That's wonderful. Unfortunately there are many, many people who are opposed to immigrants for reasons that extend beyond legality.

All of these pro-illegal alien, open borders idiots out there ALWAYS throw illegal and legal immigrants together because, to put it simply, there is no rational defense of illegal immigration. They are the first to refer to race, and to scream racism, but when 90%+ of the illegals are Hispanic, it should be no surprise that Hispanics are the group that the focus is on.
The truth is that people who are willing to break immigration laws to come over here (even if they are doing it for work purposes) are less likely to refrain from breaking other laws. The double-standard is that if I were caught using someone else's identity, I would get YEARS behind bars, yet these illegals do it with impunity. When I lived in Texas, the people I knew who were the most opposed to the illegals were the Hispanic citizens. An Hispanic bus driver who I talked to on a daily basis always referred to them as "w#tbacks", even with a bus load of people. If I would have said that word..you can imagine the consequences.
The problem is that those who make the laws aren't average Americans, and are insulated from the invasion by their wealth and privilege.
Unfortunately, American politics are as corrupt, if not more so, than Mexico's ever was or will be.
