(Asheville, North Carolina) A total of 57 illegal aliens from Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador and Honduras were arrested earlier today at the local Mills Manufacturing Corporation, a Department of Defense contractor that makes parachutes for the U.S. military.
I suggest that made in the U.S.A. no longer means that a product was made by Americans, not even products for the U.S. military.
According to a press release from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),
“Protecting the integrity of our nation’s critical infrastructure is among ICE’s highest priorities,” said Delburt Richburg, assistant special agent-in-charge of the ICE Office of Investigations in Charlotte. “When individuals use fraudulent social security numbers to get jobs, they hide their true identity and history. We need to know who is working on our critical infrastructure sites.”
The press release also said: “Illegal aliens employed at sensitive facilities -- such as military bases, nuclear plants, chemical plants, airports and Department of Defense contractors -- pose a homeland security threat.”
The company has reportedly been cooperative.
Oh, come on. You mean that these people, most of whom don't speak a lick of english, didn't give a clue that they were illegal aliens? Before I started working at Vandenberg AFB, CA I underwent an FBI background check, as did our contractors.
Our government, which used to make an issue of national security, is stabbing us in the back. Those who hired these foreign nationals should be drawn and quartered. Why aren't the names of these traitors being published?

This is exactly why E-Verify is needed! There is nothing the law can do to prosecute these companies who claim "they didn't know" because the law does not currently REQUIRE E-Verify to be used. If it did, we'd practically eliminate illegals from our country in a matter of months.
