Police are investigating the alleged September 12, 2008 beating of Javier Alcala Jr. in Shenandoah, PA. The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is already calling upon the U.S. Department of Justice to conduct a civil rights investigation into this incident, before the facts are even known.
Now it comes out that the police believe that this alleged attack on Javier Alcala Jr. was not racially motivated. When I first heard of this story the first thing that popped into my mind is that this was all a setup by the racist groups currently in the area, LULAC, MALDEF and the ADL in order to use it to slander Shenandoah once again as a racist town.
My only conclusions now are that the perpetrators of the crime must also be Hispanic, otherwise the cops would not come out so soon and declare that it was not racially motivated. The news is all over this sensationalizing it and trying to tie it into the July 12, 2008 beating of illegal alien Luis Ramirez in Shenandoah that resulted in his death.
Republican Herald
According to Shenandoah police, Javier Alcala Jr., 21, 36 W. Coal St., Shenandoah, was assaulted Sept. 12. Police report they were called at 5:04 a.m. on that day by a friend of Alcala who told police the man had been assaulted and was at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs. Shenandoah police visited the hospital and spoke with Alcala who said he was abducted in the area of Centre and West streets in the borough by three men in a black Ford Expedition who duct taped his arms and legs and blindfolded him. They then drove him outside the borough and assaulted him and left him at the end of South Chestnut Street. Alcala said he was able to free himself and called his friends who took him to the hospital.
Poor LULAC looks like a bunch of imbeciles on this one. I ask you this, if LULAC is not a racist group then why do they not call for civil rights investigations into white, asian or black victims who are assaulted?

Read what residents of Shenandoah are saying about this incident in the Save Shenandoah forum.
The United States is dangerous for Latin American citizens. Return home where you will be safe, and take LULAC with you,
BTW, League of United Latin American Citizens? What are Latin American citizens doing here? The US is not part of Latin America (yet!).

What? That's crossing the line right there. There are plenty of legal residents and American Citizens who happen to be of Hispanic descent that are more patriotic for America than you could ever imagine. Have even shed their blood.
LULAC, and racist groups like it, do not represent all Latinos and Hispanics.
Attacking all Hispanics is an absolutely pitiful stance and I reject it wholeheartedly.
Focus your attacks on the real racists, not an ethnicity. Remember there are plenty of white, black, asian, etc citizens of this country who would sell it down the river for a buck *looks at the presidential candidates* so saying it is all about Hispanics is asinine.

To the above poster I say: Read carefully. The comment was that ""LATIN AMERICAN CITIZENS" (i.e. CITIZENS of Latin America "should return home". And while they're at it they need to take all of the illegal aliens who are citizens of another country with you. We only want LEGAL citizens and immigrants here, ones who will obey OUR laws and respect OUR culture. And those who want to become Americans. Assimilate or go home. Obey our laws or go home. Stop taking advantage of our social services when my husband and I cannot afford our health insurance and will be paying off his recent hospital bill for ten years. Oh yeah, and he had to wait 5 HOURS in the emergency room to see a doctor because we went to READING hospital. Reading is a SANCTUARY city and those being seen before my husband were knifing and shooting each other. When you speak of their culture you need to explain that word isn't used because they're cultured. Why doesn't the U.S. department of Justice conduct an investigation into the slayings of innocent AMERICAN CITIZENS???Why isn't someone standing up for the 25 Americans a day who are murdered by illegal aliens?
