An effigy of Sarah Palin has been hung by a noose from the side of the house of
Chad Michael Morisette in West Hollywood. Once again the left has taken it too far with their outright hate. If this is the kind of hope and Change we have coming to us if the left succeeds in wresting control of our country then count me out.
It is an absolutely disgusting display that reminds me of the story of Stephen and Virginia Pearcy that I covered in Sacramento a few years back when they hung a soldier from a noose on the side of their house. I was threatened with a lawsuit by the couple for reporting on their anti-American hate. You can read all about that hateful incident in my Stephen and Virginia Pearcy archives.
Now we have it on full display again from the left. If you are a liberal I think you need to think twice about the types of people you are associating yourself with.

An effigy of U.S. Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin hanging by a noose as part of a Halloween display drew complaints on Monday, but local officials said the homeowner was covered by free speech rights.
A mannequin dressed to resemble the Alaska governor, with her trademark beehive hairdo and glasses, was hung by the neck from the eaves of the home in famously liberal West Hollywood.
On the roof, a mannequin of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, protruded from the chimney surrounded in flames, holding his head as he was apparently burned alive.
"We have been getting some phone calls this morning complaining about it but if (the homeowner) isn't in violation of municipal code we have no reason to cite them," West Hollywood spokeswoman Helen Goss said.
"People have First Amendment rights (to free speech)," Goss said. "I would speculate that if it's part of a Halloween display then its political satire."
Yeah it's really funny... haha.
Homeowner Chad Michael Morisette told local KCAL-TV the display should be considered Halloween "art" and said his neighbors would probably be more offended by a similar scene invoking Democrat Barack Obama.
"I know if we had done Barack Obama, people would have probably thrown things through our windows," Morisette said. "The image of a hanged black man is a lot more intense than the image of a hanged white woman for our country, the history of our country."
A hanging white woman is just as bad as a hanging black man, or have we degraded so much in this country that some think that isn't the case? As for it being "art", you sully the name of anyone who has ever considered themselves an artist Mr. Morisette. Might I suggest that his neighbors hang him in effigy by a noose and see how funny he finds it.

West Hollywood is known for its large gay population and its liberal politics. It hosts a large and flamboyant outdoor Halloween parade each year.
First an assassination plot against Obama (http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,24243978-5012572,00.html). Apparently they could be "a bunch of knuckle heads" but there is no joke about death...
Now, there’s a freedom of speech of two views of death, that’s fine, everyone can have their opinion. However, we obviously shouldn't encourage death.
I don't necessarily like McCain OR Obama. Both for certain reasons, though certain things I like about them are there. But they've become targets for everybody because of the things they've done and said. On the side of that, we don't need another Kennedy on our hands.

I wonder if that is what they orginally wanted to do... so if plotting to assassinate Obama is wrong, why isn't showing the thought of both Palin and McCain dying/dead just as wrong?
A question: Should screaming of someone's (soon to be? thoughts of them?) death be protected under freedom of speech? Anyone can wish someone dead, but should it be known like this?

JOIN ME TO PROTEST THIS HOUSE AND OUR FREE SPEECH RIGHTS WHO DISAGREE WITH THIS "ART"
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion that is why are fathers, grandfathers, sons , and daughters continue to fight. There however the right to protest free speech that you do not agree is in the best interest or depicts violence and hate. I personally do not agree with Palin's politics and will not vote for her, however that does not give me the right to depict the death of another human being in a violent manor. Can you imagine how you would feel if you woke up and saw a picture of your mother hanging from a rope? How must her children feel today? We, "Caucasians" found nothing wrong for many years of hanging of our slaves and rallied and celebrated around the trees. The hangings were real, wrong and senseless acts of murder. Had not one person taken that first step, voiced that first word that it was wrong it could still be common place today. I have emailed the West Hollywood Major and City Council office to request information on the law/ordinance surrounding protesting in West Hollywood. Once all the information and permit if needed is gathered, I to will exercise my right to free speech to disagree with this and organize a protest around it.
