I have believed for quite awhile now that there will be a terrorist attack on US soil coming in 2009. Before anyone thinks my beliefs are simply related to the recent election of Barack Obama as president, let me assure you they are not. The pattern seems to revolve around 8 years. The first bombing of the World Trade Center occurred in 1993 and then 8 years later, in 2001 was the second bombing. 8 years.
The simple truth is that in the time since 9/11/2001 we simply haven't done enough to secure our ports and borders. There are literally 10's of millions of unknown people in our country who simply entered illegally. On top of this we live in a free society where people can pretty much buy whatever they want to facilitate their tasks of attacking America. People like Timothy McVeigh who was able to buy the materials he needed to blow up the Murrah building in Oklahoma City.
Also of subsequent weight is the fact that we are in a transition period between leaders. As was witnessed in the London and Madrid bombings they occurred during election periods. These are periods where there is uncertainty. We are currently in one of those periods. The attacks of 9/11 occurred after Bush took office in January 2001, a mere 8 months later.
The attacks of 9/11 happened because of our complacency and forgetfulness as the Clinton Administration did little to combat potential terror that was building up. Now granted Bush has done some overseas to try and combat terrorism, but the reality at home is that he has done little and actually worked against security. Our leaders have been more concerned with the illegal aliens welfare and being and not offending Mexico than of the security of the United States and it's people.
They have been of the belief that all of the people entering this country illegally are doing so because they just want a job and don't have other nefarious reasons. They have told us this time and time again. While many may focus on Mexican illegal aliens and their impacts on our governments systems of health care and education and some of them being members of gangs and drug cartels, they sometimes overlook the OTM's or Other Than Mexican illegal aliens that are also crossing through our southern border everyday.
These OTM's come from terrorist sponsoring nations. They have been raised in a culture of hating America. While many could simply be coming here for work or an opportunity, the real problem is that nobody actually knows this. To dismiss this is simply naive.
All of this leads to what I believe will be the terrorist attack that will occur this coming year. It will be on US soil and everyone will look around at the time and wonder why it occurred. It will occur due to complacency, lack of security and overly political correctness in the form of diversity at all costs. The 19 hijackers of 9/11 exploited our immigration system to get into - and remain in - the United States and those who are planning to attack us again are doing so right now as I type this. It seems some people never learn from history.

We are going to get attacked because a new president means a vulnerable Country. It's not as complicated as you are making it sound. Other countries hate us. "I don't know what World War III will be like, but I know World War Four will be fought with sticks and stones."

No one is taking terrorism seriously. It's as though everyone forgot about 9-11. Proof? The bizarre popularity of a man whose father is muslim--who himself will not produce proof of his US citizenship and who has a name "Barack Hussein Obama."
How come the media never mentions his middle name?
Or the fact that his first name rhymes with Iraq? What's up with that?

I guess illegal mexicans don't hate us and are not a threat to our security, I'm sure an attack will come from our own government again, as it happened it 1993 and 2001,also Obama is a Muslim and financed buy lots of Muslims, scary isn't it!

9/11 was an inside job. Oklahoma City was an inside job. There were bombs planted in the buildings. Google bombs at WTC and Oklahoma bombing. In Oklahoma,evidence of at least 3 bombs were found IN the building. WTC 1&2 witness testimony of blasts and explosions PRE-COLLAPSE. WTC7 wasn't even hit by a plane yet fell at freefall speed as in a controlled demolition. All 3 buildings came down controlled demo-style. Google it. Good video to watch is "Terrorstorm" Go to Google Video and search "Terrorstorm" A little history on who the real terrorists are. I dare ya to check it out. Or continue to be the blind sheeple you currently are.

Gary248 - I think you missed the point rytdog was making, he was not advocating that anyone should shoot persons with brown skin (latin decent). What rytdog is pointing out, in a sarcastic way, is who is really responsible for the terrorist attacks in the U.S. Please do a little more research on this subject before blasting someone about their posting.
By the way, have you personally seen an original of Obama's birth certificate ? Like everyone else, you have most likely seen the copy of his birth certificate that has been posted on the web. I am a citizen of the U.S., born here, and my original birth certificate has hand written sections and my inked footprint. Why is Obama not able to produce an original birth certificate ?
Since your post was over a month ago, I hope you have had time to research things, and are now more informed as to who really is responsible for the terrorist attacks in the U.S., and the real reasons why they happened.

I am from south Africa, for the last 2 years I have seen images of a huge fire and the American flag burning in it recuring in my dreams and sometimes when I am awake.Adding to this I always had a facination with the Twin Towers - I always felt that "something" is not "normal" with the buildings asif death lurkes inside them. long before the attacks took place.
I hope this reaches someone that cares.

we all know there will always be some people out there, of all colors, who try to divide races, but could you immagine if there were someone with way to much power and way to much influence, and way to much authority, trying to do it. could you imagine that our soldiers fighting together, united, of all colors,dying while protecting each other of all colors, wouldn't even know it. well i sure hope we never get anyone like that, regardless what color they are. and if we did, that everyone would realize it, and stay united, and boot the person out of their spot before it would be to late to do even more damage.

yes there will be another terrorist attack, yet dont know when or where. some radio host says, "oct. 11, 2009 will be the day Washington D.C. will be leveled by Atomic Bomb". It's hard to believe, yes, but it makes sense. terrorist leaded even said the us will be attacked again...
