Three illegal aliens who are members of the gang MS-13, Mara Salvatrucha, face the death penalty for the murder of a man smuggling prostitutes in Alexandria, Virginia. MS-13 is a dangerous gang that has spread like cancer throughout the United States and of which a large portion is made up of illegal aliens. They are violent, with their favorite weapon being that of the machete.
All three suspects are illegal aliens. In the story below it is quite interesting to see that they are not noted as "from" their country of origin, but actually from cities in Virginia, as if they are actually a part of that community and not foreign citizens illegally in our country.
Eris Arguera, Alcides Umaña and Adolfo Portillo murdered Claros Luna during an armed robbery when he was bringing a prostitute from Maryland to Virginia on July 29, 2009. One of the most interesting things I find about this case is that the three are actually being charged with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery and extortion and interference with commerce by robbery and extortion. In other words, law enforcement is seeing the transport of a prostitute as general commerce.
This is all caused by the lackadaisical manner in which our law enforcement, both locally and at the federal level, are handling the issue of illegal aliens. They refuse to track them down, they refuse to crack down on businesses that hire them, they refuse to treat it as a crime and in the end the illegals win out forming gangs threatening and rampaging through our streets. We've got enough problems with criminals in this country already. Do we really need to allow them to be imported and allowed to flourish with no intervention?
The US Justice Department estimates that there are 731,000 gang members nationwide and that in major cities nearly half of the murders are committed by gang members.
When an American is accused of murder overseas it is big international news, but when foreigners illegally come to the United States and commit murder it is covered up as if they belonged here. It is time to stop tip-toeing around the issue and expressing outrage.
