Marco Rubio opposes illegal immigration. He
opposes amnesty and illegal immigration so much that I think he says it at least 10 times in the video below.
Rubio really is a phenom that is becoming quite the norm it seems. The fear is gone of speaking your mind opposing wide open borders and not enforcing laws. The fear is gone opposing the crying from the bleeding hearts who are in favor of such a continued travesty upon our country. No longer do people shy away from stating clearly and concisely that they oppose illegal immigration and amnesty. Why is this? Because they know they're right and they have indisputable arguments as to the harm that illegal immigration causes to our country and that it is flat out wrong.
Charlie Crist, the typical Republican shill candidate - the poster child of why Republicans have lost support from true conservatives in this country - supports illegal immigration.
A classic example of this is the recent statements by Crist that illegal aliens should be counted in the US census and the numbers used for apportionment of seats in the US House of Representatives. With this argument, Crist is in essence saying that states (like Florida) should actively encourage illegal immigration as much as possible. By by doing so they'll have more seats in the house and therefore get more federal tax dollars for their state and have a greater say in the direction of this country with every seat they take. States that don't do such would lose seats and their residents would therefore lose representation - even though they are legal US citizens and their say is being overridden by illegal aliens. Logical thinkers would agree that even counting legal immigrants for seat apportionment is wrong, since they are not citizens and cannot vote and therefore a representative should not be casting votes in the house on their behalf. After all, a representative represents voters, that's a basic premise of a republic.
Crist's position is wrong headed and it is the reason he is losing.
Marco Rubio was trailing governor Charlie Crist by 31 points 7 months ago in the Republican Primary race for US Senate in Florida. Today polls are showing Rubio ahead of Crist by 12 points. An utterly devastating result that should bring a little knowing smirk to your face if you've been paying attention to the Tea Partys and you believe that America is headed in the wrong direction and needs a change.
We need more Marco Rubios in this country and we certainly need more Marco Rubios in the sellout cesspool known as our US Senate.
Help out the Rubio campaign by heading over to the Marco Rubio website. Toss him a few dollars and show your support! After all if he goes to the senate, his vote will impact you. As will of course Crist's.
(Rubio's team also has a sense of humor. They are running a current fund-raising drive to raise exactly $787,000 dollars. Why $787k? Why that is 1 millionth of the $787 billion dollar Obama stimulus package that Charlie Crist heavily campaigned in favor of nearly one year ago).
