Through bribes and corruption those in Congress pushed through health care reform despite the will of the American people. If you still think they give a crap what you think, just wait until they force amnesty for illegal aliens on you. Make no mistake about it, amnesty is coming, and if you do not get up and get out there and fight against it now, it will take root and be passed!
Glenn Beck addressed this on his program today, March 22, 2010 in the video below.
In the '86 "one time" amnesty nearly 3 times the number of people they thought would come "out of the shadows" to receive amnesty did so. Now they are claiming 12-20 million will receive a "pathway to citizenship" in the new amnesty. What is the real number? I'm guessing more around 30 million, but that's just those that are in our country now. Wait until these legalized illegal aliens bring their families here. We are talking literally 50-60 million people at the minimum. That is One-fifth of our current population, and once legalized they will be eligible for all the health care things just passed and the grants for college - and they will be given the same standing as American kids and citizens when it comes to dolling these things out.
People were outraged that Congress wanted to take over one-sixth of our economy with health care, but this is much larger in scope. This will take up one-fifth of our population and impact not only education and health care, but the job market in the form of competition for low skilled jobs. And since the majority of illegal aliens are low skilled workers - it will put a massive burden on social services like welfare, food stamps and WIC even moreso than it already does (Los Angeles County alone spends 1.5 billion per year on illegal aliens, not including education)
Are we going to just lay down and get stepped on or are we going to be like the Greatest Generation and fight for our freedom and beliefs with all of our strength and every last breath?
Glenn Beck - Amnesty is Coming
One thing to consider regarding the plusses and minuses of this topic.
Study predicts $1.5 trillion increase in GDP if undocumented immigrants are legalized.
thinkprogress.org/2010/01/07/hinojos-immigration/
1.5 trillion? That is more than a 10% increase in our GDP. Taxes on that increased activity? Probably 300 billion yearly. Or half of our military budget.

Bogus. Nice sighting Chicano Studies professor Raúl Hinojosa-Ojeda at UCLA. I'm sure he's nice and unbiased.
Oh wait (2005):

Some smaller companies are building their entire business around undocumented immigrants. One is No Borders Inc., a Venice (Calif.)-based startup run by Raul Hinojosa, an associate professor of political economy at the University of California at Los Angeles. The company offers debit-like cards on which immigrants can store cash, send money home, pay for video teleconferencing calls, and join medical discount plans. Going head-to-head with First Data Corp.'s (FDC ) Western Union Financial Services (FDC ) and other wire transfer services, No Borders plans to open 150 storefronts from Los Angeles to Georgia by September.
I raise you one Chicano Studies professor profiting off of illegal aliens and give you Harvard Economist George Borjas who published his findings in 2004.
http://www.seattlepi.com/business/173528_immigrants17.html
The presence of immigrants in the American work force has pushed wages down for U.S.-born workers, particularly those without a high school education, according to a recent study by a Harvard economist... African American and Hispanic workers have been especially hard hit by competition with immigrant workers, said George Borjas
"There are 16 million foreign-born workers in the United States right now," Borjas said. "What does that do to the marketplace? It creates more competition, particularly for low-skilled workers."
Borjas found that the immigrants who entered the country between 1980 and 2000 lowered wages of native-born workers by an average of 3.7 percent
Take a look at what happened to wage levels after the amnesty in 1986. It encouraged MORE illegal immigration which drove the wages of the amnestied illegal aliens down even further in addition to native born Americans.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that encouraging more low wage workers to come to the country illegally would saturate the job market and drive down pay.
Even if we try to take Hinojosa's report as fact. He says GDP (notice it's GROSS, before expenses) would go up $1.5 trillion over 10 years, that's $150 billion per year. Estimates however show that combined costs of illegal aliens in education, health care, incarceration, social programs etc... cost US taxpayers $330 billion per year.
Even by Hinojosa's numbers the US would lose $180 billion per year with the existing numbers... and a ton more as more illegal aliens flooded across the border for the next amnesty.
That's what you get when you read a progressive website. You get garbage reports.
